Our Story

So here’s the truth: we’re not sauna experts. We didn’t grow up with wood-fired traditions or dream of pouring water on hot stones. But we do know a good view when we see one—and ours? Let’s just say, it’s a bit ridiculous.
Perched up on the roof with a front-row seat to the Irish coastline—Killiney, Bray, all the way down to Greystones—it started with us just hanging out, watching the sea, and thinking, This place is too good not to share… but cold.

Then someone joked, “What if there was a sauna up here?” And instead of laughing it off, we looked at each other and went, “Actually… yeah.”

Opening hours

We’re open 7 days a week!

Physical Health benefits

1. Cardiovascular Health
  •  Saunas improve blood circulation and help lower blood pressure.
  • Cold exposure encourages vasoconstriction followed by vasodilation, training blood vessels and improving heart function.
  • Cold water reduces muscle inflammation and speeds up recovery after exercise.Sauna helps with muscle relaxation and lactic acid breakdown.
  • Regular contrast therapy is associated with a higher white blood cell count, improving your ability to fight off illness.
  • Sweating in a sauna helps expel toxins from the body through the skin, complementing the body’s natural detox pathways.
  • Cold exposure can stimulate brown fat activation, which helps burn calories and regulate body temperature.
  • Cold helps numb pain and reduce swelling, while heat loosens stiff joints and improves flexibility.

Mental Health benefits

1. Stress Reduction
  • Sauna heat relaxes the body and triggers the release of endorphins (feel-good hormones).
  • Cold water immersion boosts norepinephrine production, which improves focus and reduces stress response over time.
  • Exposure to cold water is linked to increased dopamine levels, often resulting in an elevated mood for hours post-swim.
  • The contrast between hot and cold stimulates the release of natural antidepressants.
  • The invigorating nature of cold immersion followed by sauna creates a sharper, more alert mental state.
  • Regular practice helps reset the nervous system, leading to better concentration and cognitive function.
  • Post-sauna relaxation and the cooling effect of the sea help regulate body temperature and circadian rhythm, promoting deeper, more restorative sleep.
  • The act of deliberately facing cold water builds mental toughness, aiding in better emotional regulation and resilience to daily stressors.
